Afternoon all,
Anyone got any instructions on how I replace the bulb on my Puma's high level brake light (on the boot). The manual says to take it to a garage but I was hoping to do it myself and save some pennies. Or is it too difficult?

Thanks in advanced.

These instructions might help :)

searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Thanks for the advice. Planning on getting round to doing it this weekend but thought I'd order the replacement bulbs up front. Doesn't anyone know what bulb/s I'll need? As I can find it in the manual.

Much appreciated

Go to here, I did a guide with pics:
http://www.pumapeopl...tle=Puma_Lights

and scroll down to "High Mounted Central Light Unit (tailgate third light)"

I replaced my bulbs with LED's (red), to avoid having to replace the standard ones, as you need to replace the hanger "buttons" each time.

The Haynes Fiesta Manual (3397) can answer a lot of your questions.

Thanks all for your help. I finally managed to change all the four bulbs in the high level brake light but to no avail. I checked all the connections and did what I could but its still not working. Keen to get it working before some idiot hits the back of me.

By any chance there isn't a fuse that would stop the light from working? (the other brake lights work)

Cheers

More likely to be the feeble bit of loom that goes under the seal, terrible bit of design.

I know this post is 4 years old but I'm having the same problem... bulbs replaced but the flippin thing isn't working, I've tried everything, even multiple bulbs. Which bit of feeble loom was being referred to here??

Look at the base of the right side boot strut, this wire should connect to the spade and travel in under the seal. Very common to fail.

Bingo!! Wire was no longer attached to the spade connector! All sorted now, thankyou 😃

Only downside is the clips on the tailgate liner trim broke when I removed it, and the silly parcel shelf hangers. So now need to sort all of that out. Brake light works now though...
