the cheapest way is going to be getting one of those paint chip repair pens from halfords.
The repair compound is like lipstick and will fill the stone chip. Then just apply a coat of clear wax and polish over the top and it should look ok.

They are a pain! I try to drop a bit of paint on/in them as soon as possible. I got a paint and laquer pair from Ford. If you are worried about it looking good, buy a selection of extra tiny brushes from a hardware store and repair them a micro-dot at a time in really good light. It take patience but pays off....I don't bother to this extent with the lower bodywork - I tend to drop a bit of rust converter on, wipe with a cloth, leave to dry and then use the supplied brush with the kit from Ford.

Same problem on my silver Cat, so I'm gearing up for a long day this weekend to try and sort the swirls and chips!

I'm trying to decide which products are best to use as a 'first' wash, polish, wax ( at least since I bought it! ). ScratchX seems the

popular choice for not-too-serious damage!?

I'm sure it will be worth the effort though! smile.gif

Had my bonnet resprayed last July because it was pebbledashed with tiny chips (they show up white on a melina blue kat and are very noticeable). I've got several more now ... you just can't win mad.gif

£300 for 3 panels - had both bumpers and the bonnet done. Not a bad price as they had to repair a dent in bonnet where some caring citizen had 'stabbed' it for me and a few scrapes and a dent to bumpers, courtesy of the previous owner.

Mine is bad too, the bonnet and front bumper are riddled with them. The front arches are fine, and the doors are starting to get peppered too mad.gif

I'm trying to mimic XIIVVX's FRP at the moment though, so i'm not washing mine for a while.

Im planning on getting my bonnet resprayed in the summer as it has a lot of stone chips but the previous owner has tried to touch them up and it looks really bad.

bottom line is that most of us simply cannot make a touch up look good - I paid to have my bonnet resprayed and was very pleased with the result

Armourfend and they have a shape already available for the Puma bonnet. (only part that does fit as all the other panels are FRP specific)

expect around £100 for the peice or so then add fitting as a guess as can't recall the price of that part. Try searching there wont be many posts on Amourfend.
