This is open to the other place (I dont do forum politics), and also to those not going to dales meet.

Some may be staying Saturday night, after the dales meet if so The travelodge at Uttoxeter

At the moment £50 per room per night, I'd suggest pairing/tribleing up, and spilting the cost.

There is a pub in Alton we can go for a bit to eat & a drink after the towers before going our separate ways!


Saturday night Social Uttoxeter

We'll have an optional pre theme park meal at the wetherspoons, and I'll be staying at the travel lodge on the sunday night.

the park opens at 10am every day so a 9:30am meet up could be an idea.... I know theres a McDonalds at Uttoxeter about 15mins drive away for brekkie but depending on numbers as the car park isnt that large lol...

just an idea?

I reckon we'll meet at tesco in either uttoxer or somewhere in Ashbourne, once we know where dales meet ends up, then be easier to work it out!

Uttoxeter would be good as Tesco, McDonalds for brekkie, and a travel lodge

there is a weaterspoons 10 min walk down the road too.... I got very drunk in there last year and was getting sum funny looks as I sat with a jug of Blue Lagoon cocktail and a straw.... HAHAHAHA!

I could easily arrange the dales meet to end up in Ashbourne as it's not too far from the sort of area we would be driving round anyway and would probably be a better choice for teh end of the drive than uttoxeter too (think the ashboune one is a bit closer to altontowers anyway.

I may be interested in staying over and joining in on the sunday too if I'm allowed

Think depends if the farm if thats where we;re staying on friday night, is also saturdays nights acommadation,

Uttoxetter has it all for sunday evening, so we;ll defo make that where we stay then!

Not really planning to stay there as they seemed a bit miffed when we booked in at past 10pm...I think a motel would be better for us all.

Thinking about the dales drive I reckon it would be best to end it over near mine next to the M1 so that people who are just heading home at the end of the drive can easily do that whether they are heading north or south, and then head down to Uttoxeter with those who are doing alton towers. it shouldn't take too long to get down there from my area (I can get to stoke in around 45 minutes, so Uttoxeter should be half an hour max).

New Plan!

After the dales meet, which i think ends later afternoon, we'll make our way to uttoxexter, book in to travelodge.

Go for a meal on Saturday evening at spoons, then stay in uttoxeter, and meet at tesco in the morning.
