Has anyone here had a Unichip fitted and mapped to a otherwise standard FRP engine?. What kind of difference did it make please?.

I'll look forward to his reply then! biggrin.gif. I ask because i've already got a Unichip on my current setup (1.6). Just trying to decide it its worthwhile paying for refitting and setup on the FRP engine really. It did wonders for my 1.6, but that was with mods.

I would say yes- but make sure the Unichip you have is suitable (I believe the Fiesta one is fine for Puma) and get it mapped properly (it should take the best part of a day for fitting and tuning).

I was well pleased with mine, got much better fuel economy wink.gif Which of course meant the engine was more efficient, which means more power.

Driving my FRP with the chip removed felt like the handbrake was on, particularly mid-range response... mellow.gif
