Problem With Handbrake Too High/cable Loose?

anyone got a "how to" link/guide to check everything over fully first,.. ie on Wiki or somewhere here? I heard there is a nut to tighten under the gator somewhere?

There is a nut, you pull up the handbrake gaiter, and you se it. However, drum brakes tend to be useless :)

Ok, the thing is, the puma uses an automatic brake adjuster, witch when it gets old tends to slip. And althoug the brakes work fine, the handbrake suffers.

If you check the nut in the front at the handbrake lever, and it seems reasonably tight, there is a good chance that you need to replace either the brake shoes, or the auto tightners. If the nut is loose, tightb it, and se what happens :)
