Humming Noise

Maybe some of you have had this... My 1.7 Puma has constant humming noise while driving more than 20 km/h. Doesn't matter if the gear is in or not, accelerating or just cruising, fast or slow, the noise is there. Someone has captured it pretty accurately here:
My garage told me, it's drive shaft bearing and they replaced it. Didn't make any difference.
Any advice is welcomed.
Thanks!
Endrik

To be fair to the motor trade, a law like that would make it very difficult to do a lot of jobs.

I don't blame the garage as the drive shaft bearing was probably busted too. My neighbor owns the place but they're actually specialized in Mercs so no wonder...

But obviously, if you pay 1/4 of the car's price for the repair, you expect to get it back with no hum

depending on when Puma was purchased you were looking at £12-15grand approx..

there was no slack in ours just a rough feeling to it. only use genuine ford ons or kits that have SKF bearings. i had motorfactor ones, they were cheaper but were gone in about 100 miles
