Hello all just found this site have got a 98 puma been told it has a crank oil seal gone is this commen
on pumas? hubby is into doing cars is this an easy job to do so he could do it but he wants to know the torque setting for the crank bolt and any short cuts or easy methods

Hi, front crank bolt torque is 40 Nm + 90 degrees. you will also need a puller to remove the pulley.
Not really a diy job unless you know what you are doing.

The timing belt needs to be removed, so you will need the locking tools...

Thanks for that I am in hadleigh ner Ipswich hubby is good with cars last year he rebuilt a nissen s13
engine cost 1k huh.gif now he is doing a 300zx think hes mad but I know where he is at the week ends and night time

well all done car feels a lot better when you put your foot down it just takes off and no more oil leaks biggrin.gif thanks for the info
