Hi all,

As some may have seen from my previous post regarding problems removing the fuel tank... now that is all off, I need some assistance or experience with the fuel pump. My oem pump stopped working last week and I got a sytec replacement however the electric connector on top is different and has a red and black wires that look like they need to be spliced to the original red and black cables.

Is this safe to do so bearing mind this is all inside the fuel tank?

quite safe to splice - after all the electrical connections inside the tank are not protected in any way shape or form!

Thanks for your reply.

I did think that, but must admit it did scare me a little thinking that all the electrical connections are inside the fuel tanks exposed.
