is it essentail to remove the radio to get the serial number? i've asked a similar question in the noob bit, but alittle more complicated,would like to know i'm barking up the right tree.

yes, you need to take it out to reed the serial nr

Heard from google that there may be a cheat where you press and hold 6 and then just press 1 on the radio and it gives you the serial number.
I've tried this and it scrolled MGPDJS406050802,can nothing be done with this or do i need some removal tools off ebay?
Sorry if it seems a dumb question but only owned a puma for 24 hours so know nothing about them and some music would be nice lol.

hmm. I didn't know this I think that is the serial nr yes

Unfortunatly I do not know how to use the dekoder tool, but there are several here who can if I'm not mistaken

Well after a bit of messing about i got it out (cheeky), the radio that is
the serial number is m002397 if someone would be kind enough to put me out of my misery,please.

If unchanged then the code will be 0887
