I'm preparing to get the rust on my drivers side rear arch repaired and looking at the different repair panels you can get so would appreciate any advice on offer.

I like the idea of a 206 front wing because it's galvanised but is it true that the profile is not quite right? I'm only doing the one side so wouldn't want something that looks different.

The repair panels from puma-schmiede seem to be a good option - http://www.puma-schm...index.php?a=591, but there is also a UK seller on ebay that might be worth a look (ribenaberryshakin) but he has some negative feedback and they don't look as well made in the photo as the former. Is the seller known to the club at all?

Fibrebuild also do some but I haven't seen any photo's.

I may be wrong but I suspect there is only the one uk supplier of the repair panels. (Fibrebuild and ribenaberryshakin seem very similar)

I had the Fibrebuild panels fitted and the bodyshop said that they were OK - If I hadn't supplied the panels they would have made some up themselves. They spent a lot of time treating the inside where they rust through so they should last a long time.

I sent an email to Fiberbuild to ask about prices etc but haven't heard back yet.

I didn't hear back from Fiberbuild so have ordered from Puma-Schmeide, although arranging payment is awkward and they're not replying to emails either.

This is using 206 front wing, remember it's the opposite front wing to repair the rear arch. There is a slight difference in profile but who can look at both sides at the same time?

Thanks for that. Is it any particular 206 model - not sure if they had mk1, mk2 etc. Did you buy new or from breakers?

I need to do both my arches so would just get the pair anyway.

Just 206 not gti, I paid about £26 each from euro car parts, need a bit of work at bottom of arch/ end of sill.

Cheers. I was wondering if ECP was a good place to buy from. The ones on Ebay look about the same price.

It's local and can pickup so no chance of damage in transit
