Thanks Happy Kat and everyone else who's on this site. Helps to reassure me that I'm not a total fruitcase when I read about you lot out there who are just as addicted to your Pumas as I am! : )

Certainly am addicated to my Puma and got under it and stripped and treated and prevented the rust, I don't want to lose it.
Good luck and hope it is not as bad as you suggest.

Wish I had those sorts of skills. MOT currently under way. More nervous than if I was having a test! Fingers crossed!

Hope you have a positive outcome and that any bits required are achieveable for you.

Not a great outcome in that the MOT was a dismal fail BUT great outcome in that Puma Build can fix it...Hurrah!

I visted the very helpful Dai (owner of a very tasty FRP) this morning, whose mate took a look at my Puma for me. My worries about rusty sills have luckily been put to rest, as it appears to just be surface rust, and easily treated *makes relieved face*. The rear wheel arches are still in a pretty bad state and desperately need treating but obviously aren't a MOT failure. The back box has gone (as I heard en route anyway) but that's easy to sort (when I get paid at the end of the month!), so overall it looks like my beloved Puma will hopefully survive another year. Phew! *mops brow* Posted Image

A question - how easy is it to access the sills? I don't have any sort of ramp at home and my driveway is on a slope. I'd like to get the rust treated and prevent it from getting worse, and obviously it's going to be cheaper to do that myself...
