A lot of people swear by Halfords Super Brilliance bulbs (9005SB/HB3). Up to 50% brighter than standard. £19.99 each, but currently BOGOF.

Just been to my local Halfords and they are now doing 9005EB/HB3 bulbs in their Extreme Brilliance range. Up to 90% brighter than standard. £24.99 each, but currently BOGOF.

These are cracking bulbs, I've used them in both Puma and the Brabus.

However, they do seem more susceptible to blowing - mainly caused by potholes oddly enough...

Anything that improves night vision is worth paying for IMO.

The 90% are now on my list of 'must have'. Thanks, Yog.

In the interest of promoting safety for all Puma drivers, I have borrowed the following info/pics from PP2 (with their permission - Thanks Dal):

The first pic is with 100 watt blue tint bulbs from ebay (illegal, I know and not really rated) - standard bulbs are 60 watt.

Best estimate is Super Brilliance is halfway between the two images.

Halford have a BOGOF on these bulbs just now.

Bought four today and tried them tonight. What a difference!!!

Also bought some one watt LED side lights off ebay so the Puma is now properly lit up!

I just fitted the 19.99 bulbs as one of mine had blown an dthe ones that came out were tinted blue so I have no idea if i have uprated or downrated yet! Seem to be pretty bright though. :)

Don't stir trouble
Mine passed its MOT with HID's too.
My local Ford dealer said he would pass my car with them fitted as well as normal Puma head lights are bordering on dangerous !!

The HID argument causes too much grief.
Just let it rest.
If they are happy with Halfraud's bulbs let them be ;)

I promised Kate I wouldn't get involved in anymore HID arguments.

I hate HIDs, nearly all of them piss me off by being to high and distracting when they are coming toward you or even when they are behind you.
