Hi guys

I have a concern - I have a Piper X induction system on my V plate 1.7 which I installed about 7 months ago.

Recently I have been told by 2 different people (freinds) that upon overtaking them at full throttle they get a STRONG burning smell from my car :help:

Any advise, suggestions :?:

Grasping at straws here, could be a lot of things.

Did you make any changes to the fueling when you changed the filter? Or did the garage (if involved).

I get burning smell after parking the car after a quick blast. Is usually dirt getting burnt on the exhaust, brakes, or anything else hot at the time.

Could be something trapped in the engine bay, leaves etc...

Give it a good wash and go for a spin with one of your mates. Not the most technical advise, but sure to be the cheapest!!!!

I think I have found the problem, I topped up with GTX magnatex oil about 3 weeks ago and after a little investigation foud that I have slightly overfilled it :oops: - Thus the burning smell.
