can anyone help with this? i have bought some Flo-Flex wishbone bushes, and they don't fit, Flo-Flex are saying its because i have mk5 fiesta wishbones, and puma ones are different...

i found this picture on their facebook page, under the heading Puma wishbone bushes now available :

and sure enough, those do look like the bushes i have, but certainly not the wishbones i have!!!

has anyone ever seen wishbones like that?

i have just bought (2nd hand) another set of ford OEM (fiesta) wishbones, but these aint gonna help me fit these Flo-Flex bushes!! :head:

anyone know where i can get FRP rear wishbone bushes cheaper than pumaspeed?!

Mk5 Fiesta Wishbones are exactly the same at the Puma. Fact! Same finis number from Ford.

The rear bush can be bought from Ford but only a bit cheaper then Pumaspeed.

The wishbones was picked up today by Yodel and should be with you by the weekend.

How come the two balljoint configurations are different in the finis diags?

Also, I'm looking at bushing the front of mine, and it's not got original Ford ones on any more, so I'll need to source a pair. Anybody have a brace for a bare (No bushes) wishbone from Ford?

Cheers

i wouldnt pee on flowflex if they were on fire - prety sure they are just deflex re branded - utter crap!!!

they have prob sold you mk3 fiesta bushes knowing them.

Fiesta mk4/5 and puma all share the same front subframe and lower arms etc so a propper bush for any will fit the whole range

its not a different design its just taken the portion off the knuckle so it can demonstrate the pinch bolt and part number for bolt etc

Hi, rebecca, i have done some digging on this issue, and its appears
you have the wrong wishbone, the wishbone you have used (as per this
picture : http://i2.photobucke..._55972831_n.jpg
)

is an aftermarket wishbone, and not what was supplied on any puma from
the factory!

Ford themselves have the exact same part number for the fiesta and
puma wishbones (Left - 1330239, Right - 1330238) as per these images
from the ford Ecat :

http://i2.photobucke...659_2_19648.gif

http://i2.photobucke...659_2_58208.gif

at the moment my car is up in the air with no wishbones attached, i
would like to get this resolved asap!

could i have a refund for these rear bushes (i bought a full wishbone
set - although i have not tried to fit the front bush yet!) so i can
get some standard bushes and get my car back on the road?

and in response i got :

Quote

Hi, we already do the wishbone bushes for mk4 fiesta which dont fit the puma wishbones, the bushes to fit the mk5 fiesta will be available next week if you want to hold on for them, and the smaller bushes you need to leave the outer metal casing in the wishbones to fit them, let me know what you want to do

Kind regards

they do however already sell the mk5 wishbone bushes on eBay! lol

they look like this :

so they might just do the job!??

they mention in the advert to state whether you need 64mm or 66mm, i presume this refers to OEM or aftermarket bushes?

They ARE cheap though, £35 for the set compared to £95 for just the rear wishbone mount with powerflex!

So how much (ballpark) are a OEM Ford Puma front Wishbones vs Asftermarket?

Thinking of changing the front and rear bushes on a new set of arms for these

Front Wishbone bushes lower front http://www.pumaspeed...-Bushes_192.jsp and rear http://www.pumaspeed...ush-set_196.jsp Pumaspeed say there might be issue fitting the bushed to non OEM parts.

Opinion very welcome.
