thought I would out a little hi post to all that may remember me, had FRP 142 and a silver 1.7 from new in the past, and I'm considering dipping my toes back in puma waters, so thought I would see whats up for grabs
would ideally like a grey thunder, but budgets really not going to go that far I dont think, so I'm looking at 99 on silver 1.7's basically the same as the one I bought new
must also stop looking at V5 FRP on pistonheads as I'm liable to smash my piggy bank to bits for it but I'm trying to be sensible
anyway Hi all

Welcome back
This time of year is a good time to buy seeing as Xmas is just around the corner and people selling need the cash!

come up and see me...make me smile
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Good to see you back
Go on you know you want another FRP - I'm sure you could pick up a fairly cheap example

I was after a winter hack thats also good fun so I dont have to run my mk2 throuh the salt and kak and the only really obvious choice was yet another puma, but my budget has got pitifully small
but going to look at a 97 moondust silver one tonight, so could be back in the fold today

brought it home tonight, not the tidiest car I own but I have plans and as I paid less for it then I paid for a set of tyres for my FRP I cant grumble
On the whole I'm pretty chuffed with it and watch this space

so far required for MOT is 2 new tyres, 2 shocks, new exhaust and tracking
required for keeping me sane is HCV valve (stuck on cold and freezing ) and getting the electric windows to work, and new stereo as the CD players been smashed in
required for making it less of a bucket
getting rid of the "hobo ambiance" of the interior (it's a mess), getting a grill for the lower front, getting rid of the rust on the arch's and boot, getting the dent (spelt footmark) out of the rear qtr
and giving it a good bufty
that all said it was cared for once theres a bill from Pumabuild from last year in the history for best part of £700 including cambelt, the clutch has been done recently and mechanicaly it drives spot on and is very quiet
watch this space as I have already sorted some new wheels for it (well it needed 2 tyres) and just deciding what suspension kit to get (well it needs a couple of shocks )
here we go again............................
