Ive started to modify my car now so i though id start a thread. the car is an X reg puma, black full leather interior lux pack, 57000 Miles

I purchased this car about 2 or 3 months ago now when i got it the paintwork was in bad condition, so i had a friend at my local garage machine polish it for me and touch up the scratches

next on the aggenda was to deal with the slipping clutch got the local mechanic to do it but with that came some problems, one of the bolts in the wishbones sheared off inside, so he had to angle grind the wishbone off and replace it, i also got all the nuts n bolts replaced in the front end while he was at it.

after that it was time to deal with my wheels 1 is badly kerbed and a front tyre is almost bald. I was thinking of geting some team dynamics pro race 2's http://www.wheelheav...ics_1_index.php

but in the end i decided i would try and get a hold of some 16 inch cossie style alloys

Make sure you get the rarer 7J ET35 Cossie style wheels, the more common 6.5J ET40's ruin the handling.

Ive got the wheels now they were advertised as the ET 35s but turned out to be Et 40s on arrival so i got a part refund and got the guy to send me 4 5mm spacers

the wheels had bad bubbling around the vavles so i decided i was going to refurb them.

For this i got 8 sheets of P800 wet n dry, 8 of P120, a P80 flappy wheel and a wire spinning brush, i would say it took me about 7 hours to fully refurb the wheels about an hour an evening i spent, time well spent im happy with the results.

i had them sprayed saturday i went for a bright white with some matting agent added to the laquer to dull the brightness down, i was like a child on christmas unwrapping these.

Looking good, as you refurbed them yourself, you could probably make a small profit if you did locate some ET35s.

Wheels look great,

They are fine with spacers, just make sure you fit longer heavy duty wheelstuds ;)
These are always on the bay and cheep as chips ;)

Unfortunately to fit longer studs you need to strip down the hub, which typically also means new front wheel bearings...
