1.Set of CAMS: 272 -240 degrees

I would take those power figs with a pinch of salt.

I have some Piper cams fitted (Rally spec profile) as part of my throttle body conversion.

I have a supposed 141.5bhp at the wheels from fitting cams, throttle bodies, bespoke inlet manifold/airbox, Viper induction kit, OMEX 3d mappable engine management, uprated injectors, Janspeed exhaust manifold/s.s Cat/Mongoose exhaust etc etc. The car is actually in the garage getting a few tweaks done and I should be picking it up this afternoon. I haven't had the figures confirmed but it was running absolutely awful before. It's had a fair bit of work done since then to sort out the bottom/mid range torque and hopefully the power should be even more now that the fuelling pressure has been sorted out and the car remapped.

I'm afraid if you're after a cheapish hike in power of about 25-30bhp go to Van Aaken for a Turbo conversion (around 2300 GBP)

Dave,

thanks for the informations.
Well If you have 141.5 BHP at wheels, it means that your puma must show on a rolling
road more than 170BHP, which is very good.

I am talking for PIPERCAMS (Fast Road) not the (Rally specs). The engineer said that minimum the car we will show 145+ BHP. I will let you know this Thursday when I will get the car and have a printout from the rolling road. Before the mod my Puma show 124 BHP in the rolling road and 102 BHP on the wheels (losing too much)

Cheers

I have put a 1.7 engine into a Fiesta and fitted a Omex to it.
This is now giving close to 170BHP without cams .

........in that case (as I suspected) mine ain't set up correctly. There's still a bit of work to be done but most is finished. Not too impressed with the power, doesn't feel like 160+ bhp so I might get a 2nd opinion on the Omex mapping. Who did yours?

A small company called MPC Midland Performance Centre done mine.

I done all the engine work and then the customer took his car to mpc for the omex.

The grass always looks greener the other side but we had a few teething problems but it is getting better.

What is wrong with yours?
