Hey all,

Don't post here much... but wondering if I could get some advice.

As you can guess from the thread topic title, I walked out of my house yesterday morning to see some absolute f***wit had smashed my passenger side wing mirror (manual, not electric), leaving it hanging off by it's cabling only.

I've had a good look and as some of the plastic casing has also snapped off I'm guessing I need a new replacement wing mirror.

Spoke with my nearest Ford repair centre and they've quoted me £68.00 for the part plus anpother £90-ish pounds to paint & fit the part.

I'm a little low on funds at the moment... can anyone provide any advice on how I may be able to get this done a little cheaper?

If the above costs are just 'what you pay' then fair enough i s'pose... just thoguht I'd give it a try!

Let me know!

Al

Still need to paint it though, Halford can mix your colour in an aerosol just give them the paint number, buy the primer and laquer too and do it yourself. Or go to the scrappy you never know!! (are the mirrors the same as the fiesta anyone?)

You dont need to paint anything, the old cover will come off. Its only held on by a few screws.

The internal parts are the same. I get a '95 fiesta mirror and swap the parts with no problms.
