How does de-catting work with the MOT?

My 1.7 lump has been de-catted, powerflow exhaust, magnecor leads and fitted with a powerchip.

I was wondering whether, anybody had any tips for further tuning etc

Thanks

How about a Turbo wink.gif

Would cost about £7,000 tho for a good one

As far as de-cat's and MOTs go, ever stick the cat back on or try with out it. Although isn't the 1.7 a very clean burning engine, so it might just pass without the cat, i'll have to try & see.

I'm also looking at spending know more than £300 on further engine mods any ideas?

Might be "clean burning" but would still not pass MOT... several Puma's even with Cats have only just passed their MOT.

For £300 I would get .... a motorsport cat... (as opposed to a performance cat which just "looks" good)
