I thought i'd celebrate my birthday with a few puma accessories, which were delivered from Ford central (Fri) to local Ford dealer (today) to my petite mansion by 2.30pm today. Looking quite smart with logo mats! Mud flaps on tomorrow to match the new bright silver exhaust (sprayed with silver paint that can go up to 600 % c.)
Ta to those of you who sent b-day cards!

all in good time, it's kinda dark outside!

not sure if i understand the ford drawings of how to now fix the mat grommets in place...or it could be too many stellas.......

and the flaps look like rocket science.......think i'll do it the male way (like ikea furniture!) lol.... tongue.gif

fitting grommets is easy................I used a small screw as a pilot hole in carpet to line up with mat then the grommet self taps easily into the carpet.Mudflaps not too bad .Fronts are quick rears a bit fiddly.Save yourself a headache and take the rear wheels off .Fronts can be done by turning the wheels to full lock.Or take them them off and wonder wheel them all and polish wax with them off the car.

Yes....i guessed you make a small hole in the inbuilt carpet. I think for the flaps, I'll take the wheels off....again....seems the wheels are destined to be off a.t.m.

all self explanatory, one with no flaps, one of the exhuast and NB the silver brake drum, one rear view with flaps and one engine bay.....

oh and the front mats (not fitted yet)

colours look odd, it's just the flash...

OK, mud flaps fitted, "puma" carpets in with silly plastic screwy doobries......

but i must say, the front were easy but the rears were a bit of a hassle......and.......

the Ford instructions (for the rears) ask you to salvage the U clips and re-use them ohmy.gif , what a bunch of tight bas*****. my clips were rusty and all sorts and bent out of shape so i wasted half an hour getting them in shape and making sure the screw would fit well.....they could have put half a dozen new ones in (what....10 pence!!!! worth?) to save the grief......
so what if your old flaps had fallen off or been removed .... new rear flaps kit would be a completely useless without these clips. you get new ones for the front????? D'oh?

also, on the subect of clips.....i bought a load of door card clips (30p each, bought 8) and already the drivers trim is off again...and they break the minute you try to re-fix them. i used the original toyota clips over and over again, not one ever broke....... now i know how they work, i'm going to put fresh ones in with loads of araldite or something....

Go get a load of Toyota clips for your Puma? Flaps look nice.
