I was out this morning saving lives (or something like that ) and decided to go to Tesco to replenish my paracetamol, depleted by my current malaise

what did I find?

on the shelf where the paracetamol is kept there were lots of empty trays - Tesco was nearly out of paracetamol

what I do not know is whether there is a run on the stuff in the build-up to every Christmas?

Hopefully Ben & everyone else that's not been feeling too well are starting to be feeling better.Ben I hope Ben that you managed to get some cold/flu headache remedies.There seems to so much sickness about at the moment, that seems to keep coming back. Also I think that people stock up with headache relieve tablets/capsules Xmas & New Year in readiness for any hangovers.

apparently theres a flu/cold epidemic at the moment which could explain it.

think warren has hit the nail on the head. It was on the news on the radio this morning that hospitals are apparently swamped with cold/flu cases at the moment. The number of cases this month have been higher than they normally expect in Jan and Feb when it's normally colder weather etc.
