Still looking for to trade my kat in for an FRP but most of them have really tatty steering wheels. How much is a n FRP steering wheel? and are they easy to fit or would I be better getting dealer to do it?

Racing Puma steering wheels are circa £160, but are currently not in stock pending new production.

I have only ever seen one steering wheel that was beyond saving, all the rest will clean up like new, and you'll wonder why you considered buying a new one.

Basically, wet the alcantara, then use washing up liquid or liquid soap, and massage the material with your finger tips. Use a damp cloth to wipe the material as you go, then use a dry cloth to gently "pad" the wheel dry.

Its all about being gentle....you'll be amazed at the results.

I have a nasty stain on my sofa Ed any ideas

Turn the cushions upside down or if on the arms add a couple of stylish large white doylies to hide the stain :wink:

Ideally you will also get (for 10p at Oxfam) some matching white doylie coasters to match and complete the 'olde worlde' look to your living space...8)

I should be on Changing Rooms laugh.gif

Do you use the same method for the seats?

Further to the advice on cleaning muck of the wheel, what are people's feelings on what to do if the wheel starts to 'bobble'. :?

I've given my wheel a light going over with an electric shaver, which seems to have done the trick. :wink: Is there any other way to remove these bobbles?

I recently had luck with my local Ford dealer for a new s'wheel. If you buy from them, you'll get a 3 month warranty as standard (if you don't , then don't buy!!). Either;

[list]use naff s'wheel as leverage in getting price reduction
buy at whatever price you can get it at, and wait for 3 weeks then take it back for replacement under warranty - for free[list]
