Power Steering Pipe Replacement advice

power steering pipes are corroded and need replacing mechanic advised needs to lower subframe to get access to loosen ingoing nut as its too close to the outgoing does this sound right?

Hi are you talking about the cooler at the front attached to the front crossmember ?
or the pipes direct to the steering rack ?

I have never had to lower the subframe to get to the pipes to swap although short 18mm spanner is good for the rack and removing the bumper is good for the cooler on the crossmember

no its the power steering pump i believe he reckons he cannot loosen the connecter as its literally 1cm next to the other he showed me with an inspection lamp left side of engine just below cam
