Great pics, now I know thats a Barn owl, a great grey owl and I think the fourth one is a Harris Hawk but whats the third one? It looks like some kind of falcon, maybe a lanner or lagger?

New car, caviar, four star daydream, think I'll buy me a football team.

we did have a harris hawk on the day, and I have a though coming from the depths of my memory (it was a while ago) that it was a red kite, or red tailed kite (if there is a difference).

I'm just going from memory though, sorry smile.gif

some lovely pics there Pat (but I can see the PhotoShopping!)

I haven't looked at my pics yet so cannot offer to post any od my examples

priceless moment was when the falconer said that 'the buzzard in the grass looked good because it looked like a buzzard in the grass' laugh.gif
(I knew what he meant - it looked natural)

...... and you will prove I've photoshopped them when you post some with the rope attached laugh.gif

edit - the ones of the barn owl have only had the levels adjusted, nothing more

Just working my way through a couple of hundred bike pictures before I start looking at the BoP ones laugh.gif

they will appear at some point in the next few days though smile.gif

Lovely pics, Pat! I especially like the Barn Owl in the grass, but then I have a weak spot for these birds.

Thanks, Mikey. It was great to have so many attempts at getting half decent shots of flying birds - something you can't do at a flying display.

I've finally got round to sorting through my pictures and playing about with them. For some of the flying shots I actually decided to bother with trying to clone the majority of the strings out. Pretty pleased with the results smile.gif

only slowly learning here myself. It's only the second set of pictures I've bothered using the cloning on up to now.

when the dates come out for 2009 I might book a couple smile.gif not perhaps so much for tuition, but the access to the animals/birds is really good
