How fast does your FRP go in first gear?

Nope, you're fine. I tried to edit it myself but couldn't figure it out as I was going to add a 25-30 category as well...

I agree Matt and I am a little perplexed as well. There is a separate thread which started this off pollhere where I've been trying to work it out...
Anyway, last night I broke 35 before the rev limiter kicked in (not quite halfway between 35-40). Only mods at present are an alloy aerial!

First thing it behaved different to my Std. In this it hit the limiter an the power died. In #482 it hit the limiter, a smidge of 7000 and sat there... kinda bouncing.
Anyway I did it in second... and either I am dreaming but I came home all ready to type this up, cause I read the speedo as doing 80 in second  and I come on here and read it should be about 60!! (I hit just under 65 in the Std. in second) so I am going to stick with my 80 as that is what I saw.

Wooo hooo See its not that bad
Are you sure it wasn't reading 80km/h? Was this reading off the dials or the digi dash?

Yay Happy-Kat - at least I wasn't completely insane. That sits with what I was doing: just below 50mph, around 70, 90, 105ish before my wife ordered me to slow down...
Now I'm knocking off between 10 and 20mph of each of those gears since the serving. I've sent PB an email to seek his advice about getting someone to look at the car for me so we'll see what happens. In the meantime, I've logged 30-35 on the poll.

I am obviously gonna have to brave this and do it again to double check.....
(ok I confess my ECU has been tweaked... it is set to run on 96 RON fuel)

Mods-
Unichip
K&N panel
Longlife back box
Only a few of things that may affect this figure...
slipping clutch
different torque limiter setting
different rev limit setting
different final drive

did it again today (forgot to change odemetre reading) anyway it bounced at just a smidge under 70 in second.

I reckon Lee what ever they did to urs, they tested out on mine first seeing we are the same (last) batch, wonder how Ed fairs as well

Excellent! Of course now I am supremely sad :cry2: because my car doesn't drive like this anymore... I'm tempted to try Bluefinning it to see if I can get it back, but from what Lisa says I doubt it will give me the same performance I used to have. What ever you do, don't let a normal dealer touch your FRP!!!

39mph in first
63mph in second
89mph in third
didn't fancy trying the rest of the gears just yet.
Might have to try it again just to be on the safe side... Wouldn't want to give inaccurate information now, would I
It is after all in the interests of science

on reference between the noted speed and what this reads on the digital speed, I was doing 72-73 when the limiter cut in, in second
my speed hardly over reads at all, far less than I thought it would, nor does the speed over reading increase as it goes up the scale.
