Hello! I recently purchased a Ford Puma to use as my first car and I absolutely love it. However, because of the small wheels and high ride-height it looks a bit like a fancy moon buggy. So, since spring is nearing I've decided to get some nice sporty rims and wheels and lower the car a bit. Problem is, I don't know how much to lower it or which wheel sizes fit without modifications. Would you recommend 16 or 17 inch rims? And how much should I lower it to give it a more sporty look? I live in Sweden where the puma is much less common so there aren't a lot of people I can ask here.

Thanks.

Hi
To gaurentee no modifications needed then the answer would be don't change the wheel size or lower it.
Given the age the Puma is now I would first spend the money on making sure all the maitenance items are serviceable like the bushes, fluids and other service items.
You might find getting hold of 16" tyres in the right size for the Puma hard to come by, that might rule that size out for you.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
