The clutch was changed before I bought it. Is it normal for their to be some noise and for it to go quiet when the clutch pedal is pressed? I took a video.

Hi
Most likely input shaft in gearbox had same thing and Steve @Performance Puma supplied used box and fitted it today. Puma is now purring not rattling
100% recommend Steve if you're anywhere near S Woodford, E18, bent over backwards to help me out, lovely guy.

Just listened to your video noise isn't anywhere as bad as mine was, but little more than the faint sound I get now, although hard to tell with video on a phone . Steve said it's crankshaft if not burning oil and running ok not to worry about it.
If gearchange smooth and clutch biting ok I'd say keep eye on oil and turn your radio on

It changes gear fine, no clutch slip. It passed its MOT with no advisories last month before I bought it (although I'm slightly suspicious of a softly softly approach when the garage I purchased it takes to his regular MOT place).
I guess I'm so tuned into my X-Trail noises, jumping into another car I'm hearing different things I guess.
Me and my OH just want our Puma to be solid, we aren't interested in performance parts fitted. I even love the tape player fitted! Just want to get her ship shape for next summer.
Must admit, I had a slightly smug grin on my face on Sunday as a truck brought back our neighbours 20 year old sons brand new 320D M Sport after it had broken down after a sensor malfunction. I love the simplicity of the Puma.
We are going to leave it with Chris at Allison Automotive and have him work his magic.
