Just bought this lovely looking car, cleaned it, painted the odd bits, serviced it and now that I have figured (thanks to this forum) out how to fix the abs, and tc warning light, ANOTHER electrical problem raises its ugly head.

After locking the car (whether by fob or key) all the indicators flash. Turning ignition on and even running the car around didn't fix it.

I haven't a clue. All fuses check out.

Anyone been there and done it?

Does the alarm think the car has been broken into? There is no audible warning. The key fob LOCKS the car but does not unlock it. But even if I lock the car with just the key, same thing happens. Will have to look into key fob later.
The driver door lock is a bit loose in my opinion too. Another thing to look at.

The lights did not stop after I drove the car for 5 minutes, but after I stopped the car and restarted they eventually stopped. Now my mate who is storing the car has told me they have just started flashing - and he didn't go near it. He has disconnected battery for now

Thanks as usual.
Tim

Hi
A new one to read, very odd.
Any signs of after market audio or wiring changes?
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Ditto looking for aftermarket wiring changes, does sound like an alarm install doing that.

Any clicking noises? Normally there will be a relay doing the flashing, that may give you some clue as to the location of the offending installation.
