The engine on my recent £250 "shed" of a Puma has a stutter/misfire etc and when this happened on my sons mk4 astra the EM light went ballistic and refused to go off until reset and a new coil pack fitted.
The EML on the Puma isn't even lighting up on the pre-start lights check, even had to check wifes Puma to see where its supposed to be.
Now, how easy is it to remove the EML bulb ??? , assuming that's whats happened to stop the yellow light from hell coming on .Not that bothered , more intrigued really as the car is at deaths door unless I decide to save it.

Are you sure that your Puma should have an EML? Mine (2000/W) doesn't - no sign of even an outline of one on the dash, and the manual makes no mention of it. Others (earlier and later versions) I know have it, but mine definitely never has had.
