Puma Roll Cage?

IF the car is your day to day vehicle, then really have a good think about doing this. You lose the back seat ( even if you have a removable diagonal brace its not easy to get the rear door cards back in, and lots of VERY sharp metal under those door cards.... ) You also lose friends as they bang various bits of anatomy off the cage.
Its the one mod in Tiggr I wish I hadnt had done to be honest.
If anyone wants photo's of the prototype cage that Safety Devices built, I'll post them up, they had Tiggr for a month in Feb 1999 an used her as the basis for their production cages.

SD 6 point bolt in cage, as fitted to my old beastie
As for entry and exit, ask Kate, or even ickle Ben, both of which have injured themselves on the cage

If your tracking a car on trackdays, youll notice the difference. A bolt in cage is adequate from a safety perspective for many motorsport series. You forget that a cage like matts will add stiffness to the shell but it is primarily for safety. A full weld in cage is designed usually both for safety and stiffness as it will link from the front suspension turrets all the way back to the rear ones.
All depends on budget and what you want.
Also resusing a crashed roll cage, bolt in or otherwise is a very bad idea unless your a professional and can check all the componants. Yes the WRC teams can rebuild crashed cars with a lot of damage including fixing cage bends etc but is a very specialist area.
Birbeck have taken over the parts supply for S1600 cars and that includes the cut down rear door cards so you can solve this metal issue.
hahahahaha You get used to it!!! Im not the smallest or most flexible person but you do get used to it eventually. Tight car park spaces are "interesting" though.
Looking on the bright side you get plenty of places to tie on your shopping bags and such like so that a trip home from the supermarket doesnt leave a massacre in your boot!!

Without options or certificate for race homologation, it would be cheaper.
