Hi all,

New around here after owning my kat for 8 months now... biggrin.gif

My g/f has got the bug of modding her mk5 fiesta and just this week added some clear side repeaters.

Just wondered if anyone had done something similar to the puma, as they are a little different to the stock fiesta/ka range.

If so, some pointers on where to look would really be appreciated.

Cheers all!

Homer

searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Many thanks...

Hopefully this will be the first in a line of cosmetic changes smile.gif

Also, how easy are the originals to remove?

either easey peasey.. or stuck like the perverbial.
just be careful not to loose the bulb when u take them off, it has a habit of falling down inside..
rubber gloves can help... also I think (could be wrong as I have not changed mine) but they are actually threaded the other way round to normal..

Happycat

So you turn the side repeater clockwise and pull?

Yeah, turn it clockwise to remove. If you can't turn it, and have tried using rubber gloves to aid grip, try putting your hand behind the wheel arch liner too. That was the only way I managed mine.

Yes - I did mine this weekend and they were stuck fast!!
The only way was to get my hand behind the wheel arch lining. The lens turns clockwise to lock and the bulb assembly anticlockwise. It's easy enough to do.

Good luck!

I tried taking mine out this weekend too, before parting with my money, and they just wouldn't budge.

Was going to go behind the wheel arch lining but that also seemed to be unmovable and couldn't get my hand far enough behind to do anything.

I have never had a problem with ESP; In fact they were they people that gave me the confidence to start modifying my Kat. I have bought: smoked side repeaters, a K&N 57i induction kit, ESP rear spoiler and front MS-Designs spoiler from them. Neil told me all the relevant information on how to fit the parts including how to wire the rear spoiler's brake light. If you get any problems just give them a call. I got my bits a few years ago now so I don't know if they have the same staff or not.

I live fairly local to them so collected my parts personally and had a look at Neil's MS-Designs body kitted, lowered Silver Kat.

Hi everybody...

I've just replaced my side repeaters... it was quite easy, but the left one was very hard to unscrew...

I put on black repeaters (my puma is state blue) and now it looks very good...

Ive been following this post closely as im gonna order some new repeaters from esp soon.

My kat is Steel Blue and i was wondering what colour repeaters would look the best? In my opinion i think it will be the smoked ones. Let me know what you think guys & gals.
