I ended up having to sell #260 as I just couldn't keep doing 50 miles a day in it, leaving it outside all the time etc. I ended up buying a TDCi Sport focus and went quite deeply into ICE with a silly streetbass system just for something to amuse me. I was lucky to be offered a better job at home and almost instantly I was looking at FRP's again, the only thing that stopped me was wanting a really good one and not having anywhere to keep it safely.
So here I am with an Accord Type R, far quicker than the puma, very nice handling and brakes and fantasticly practical, exactly the right car for what I use it for, I'd highly recommend it a s a practical step on from the FRP.
Having said that I'd love another, and if I'm able to get a house with a garage as soon as I can afford it I'll almost certainly be back

Welcome back Adam.
Col Y had an Accord Type-R as his next performance car after his FRP and rated it very highly.

Only thing I would say is it doesn't have the special feel of the FRP, and the brakes + suspension are much more road car, so it isn't as fun despite the extra power. As silly as it sounds the ATR is probably a bit too quick to enjoy on the road, and the power is much less accessable.
edit: and thanks for the welcome!

Ironically, 0260 was for sale very recently...
I was always impressed by the Accord. Take the spoiler and badges off it and it would make a good "sleeper".

Miss 441 a bit however I dont miss the worry of maintainence or crashing it and having a write off in the garage. The Accord is a nice car, better than the CTR I owned as the steering actually has feel .

I'm still extremely gutted i sold #338 and got a new astra.
Every time i see any puma, i just think of my Frp. I will DEFINATELY be looking for another one this year, but with
prior knowledge of just how expensive they can be to keep up to scratch, i dont think i'll find the exact car i'm looking

The Accord is a far better car for every day use, in fact I'd definately suggest anyone looking for a practical frp replacement have a test drive in one, just doesn't have the same sense of occasion.
With a bit of luck maybe I'll get one as a second car one day.

I never got rid of that "missing" feeling after selling #142 years ago and I had a few tasty cars afterwards including an Elise and a porsche 968 clubsport both widely regarded in the press as both being rather special, but I can honestly say I have had #338 for over a year now and dont think theres a better all round package (not for my needs anyway )
theres a few people that have left the wide blue grin club and returned
I convinced 2 of my mates to buy FRP's and they love them to bits too, I think nows the time to buy when I was looking for the last one for my mate I noticed the good ones seem to be creeping up a tad price wise and tend to sell quite fast
it's a future classic make no mistake
