Most places sell the universal sparco flaps. Try rallynuts or even ebay have the odd pair on there from time to time biggrin.gif

personally the blue Sparco ones (not Chris's above) are a very poor washed out blue that look mediocre on the FRP.

i agree... they look pants!

are cannon bodygaurds still available.... they're certinly the best 'off the shelve' flaps for FRP.... they don't cover the full width of 215's all that well but they're pretty good for the money..

The sparco mud flaps are rubbish. I had them on when i first got my frp and anything above 40mph and they were up against the sills, so not really doing there job. Plus the blue you get them in doesnt suit the frps colour.

I have a spare set of cannon mud flaps in my garage that i dont need. There not quite rally style, but they fit the frps front arches perfectly, best to set them as low as you can, Vaspetrol has them fitted spot on.

I ended up buying a 1metre sheet of 5mm thick mud flap material in black from prodrive, its what they use on the wrc's. It cost me a whopping £200 wacko.gif but it was proper stuff!
That was brilliant, hardly moved about even at high speed, and so was constantly protecting that precious rear quarter paint. I still have enough to make 4 big mud flaps if anyone is interested smile.gif

£200... bloody hell.... was only joking lol....

my custom ones are actually 2 set s of flaps moulded together with epoxy.... before priming/ painting etc... so they are pretty sturdy.... they would buckle if forced on a speed bump/ kerb etc.. but ok when driving around...

Rally supplies in Barry do a square of that materinal in a variety of colours (red, blue, black, yellow etc.) 5mm thick for £7.50 a sheet (1 sheet would make 1 mud flap) back in 2004 at Castle Combe Rally Day.

some have drilled the arch blink.gif
DIY is possible just got to get fixings that work and do not mean you need to drill the arch.

Your custom flaps look good, i bet they take a while to do as well dont they?

The material i got of prodrive is like rubber, it meant for gravel spec rally cars so as can imagine its pretty heavy duty. They get it made by a company called KAYLAN i think it is. Bassically there bloody expensive mud flaps lol wink.gif

Eldood I like your flaps they look great SO how do you paint them and prevent the Imp Blue paint cracking I presume the original material is a rubber type??
