Standard Ford Light Weight Alloys Rate Topic: -----

Can any one recommend lightweight standard ford alloys iv got 15" Mondeo alloys but iv also got the 300mm Mondeo calipers .

Hmmm. Tough one... The rims that the frp uses are kind of lihgt weight.. But for a truley light weight rim, you'l probably have to go non ford, ie oz, speedline, compomotive....

I can tell you with 100% certenty that you wil not be able to fit the 300mm mondeo set up under a 15 inch rim, trust me I'we tryed :)/> you need 16" rims for that :)/>

Iv got 15s at the moment had to take an angle grinder to the calliper and get the weights put further back but they went on just want lighter 15s

Yes, it wil fot, but like you said, you have to grind quite a lott :)

Hmmmm

The thing is that OE rims are generaly made to take a hit, and survive, and to do this cheep, they make them bulky and hevy, I don't think you'l find what our lookingfor inside the ford range I'm afraid, but a set of 15" compomotive wouldn't be all to expensive thoug :)

Il proble stick to the ones I got I looked at getting them coilovers on the for sale thread that Charlie is a rite dick he's got a propa attitude wouldn't buy nothing from him

You know, you can save much weight n the tyers, some tyers are damd hevy, have a talk whit a tyer specialist, maby you can save some weight there :)

Speedlines are light.. but the aluminium goes powdery as hell after a few years unless you keep getting them refurbed :wacko:

FRP wheels are ridiculously heavy unfortunately, and they buckle easily too.. :angry:
