Progress with the engine. The photo makes the paint look blue but it's a lovely metallic violet

New bargin £8 radiator fitted at the weekend and aero mods at the front to make sure all the air goes where I want it to. No photos as black plastic boxes behind the grill make dull photos.

Is the air flow for the brakes?

No it's for the radiator and the air box. Never had trouble with wilwoods overheating but there is space in the grill if needed in the future. Just trying to keep unnecessary air getting into the engine bay and under the car so the low pressure pulls more air through the radiator and I hopefully won't have to run a fan but I don't know if am that brave.

My crank is now being knife edged after I have spent some time polishing and lightening it. The pistons are been machined as well after I needed a bit more valve to piston clearance. Con rods are all balanced cleaned and ready to go. Just the pistons to balance when I get them back and the engines ready to be put together.

No not really. Going to do some track days first and get everything set up properly before I race it. I really fancy the Cscc tin tops race at rockingham as I have always gone well against the bigger cc's cars as there is lots of corners and short straights

It's in and running fine. Took 10 seconds on the starter then fired up lovely. Such a relief to finally get it in. even managed a quick drive around the industrial estate just a shame it's all broken Tarmac so it was a steady 5 mph
