I have an unhealthy interest...I feel like I want to save old buildings, especially Victorian though I'd have no idea what I'd do with them...

My favourite music video is Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' mainly because it was filmed in the then derelict Holloway Sanitorium in Virginia Water which has been restored/converted and is a STUNNING building. I want to visit the place but I don't think it's open to the public...

Have a look at this place, unbelievable...what a shame :-( I hope it is saved and not left to neglect.

This is a converted childrens hospital near me. so glad was saved in a way, even if turned into flats, as had stood derelict for about 10 yrs i think.

I could look at this stuff all day long, especially hospitals/asylums and military stuff

28dayslater.co.uk is a great UE website.

Great photo's, really like the dials, I really like walking around WWI/II bomb shelters and the more messed up and original the better.

There is a guy on a Leeds forum I use called Secret Leeds who has a Flickr photostream full of old buildings. They are mainly in & around the Leeds area but some of them are great!

A link to his stuff.

I found a great site a little while ago for these. Will try to find it for you. I have photo's of the old one at High Post (near Boscombe Down) and I flew over Davidstow Moor at the weekend, got a great pic of that too.
