I got home last night (well, early hours of this morning if you want me to be strictly accurate) having driven over 1250 miles over the last 6 days

how many pumas did I spot?

not one!

is this a record?

on another note, we overtook a new shape Corsa and the colleague I was driving with upset me by saying its shape was reminiscent of the kat's!

not quite a holdiay, Ann - it was a school trip!

took eleven 17 year old lads to the Outer Hebrides on a Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition

had a wonderful time though, thanks - saw loads and loads of different bird species (between us we saw almost a hundred, including several golden eagles) as well as otters smile.gif

in 4 days the lads also cycled over 300 km while carrying everything they needed to camp and feed themselves for 5 days - they did really well

I'm glad that you & your 11 young men enjoyed your Duke of Edinburgh expedition to the Outer Hebrides & saw some wonderful wildlife. You'll have to show some of the pictures cool.gif .
I think a lot of young people are tarred with the 'yobbish brush' & not enough praise & recognition for the young people who do good, or their achievements.

On Saturday Kev and I drove about 10ish miles and back and saw every colour Puma (not including variations e.g. only one shade of red) except green. The weekend before we saw over ten Ferraris in one day blink.gif

I've been seeing Pumas everywhere, recently. Plenty of Aston Martins, too.

On a slightly different note, I was at a road junction yesterday, waiting for the lights to change, when about 10 old style Minis passed. Some were standard, others modded, some were resprayed in non-standard colours ........ they looked as if they were having a great time smile.gif

We saw a Mini meet like that at Pooley Bridge a few weeks backs. Old and new together having fun; it was great! Must have been at least twenty of them.

I drove from Tavistock to Basingstoke on Monday - only saw a Milly on the way.
Previously on the way home i saw no Pumas - but 3 Aston Martins - including a DB5.
