I need some advice on a rear spoiler.

The spoiler in question is the alloy e-tech design and would like to know if there are any Puma owners who have this type of spoiler fitted. If so what (if any) problems were encountered.

Do you have url for this spoiler?

Ive got the F2 beastie, and it required two large holes to be drilled in the underside of the boot lid, and two steel tubes to be inserted to take the strain on the spoiler at speed. These are welded into place.

If this hadn't been done, then the boot lid would distort.

Cheers,

Looks like there is quite a decent foot on each leg.

I would suggest that you fabricate a load spreader plate to fit inside the bootlide, and bolt through this to prevent the lip from buckling

is the spoiler Ive got fitted to Tiggr

Good luck

Cheers Matt, I have a sheet of 6mm alloy that I can use to re-enforce from underneath the boot lid.

However, the spoiler that you've fitted looks excellent. Much better that the big evo ones, was it supplied and fitted by Pumaspeed ?

Thanks again,

anyone got a spoiler on there car with a brake light that they have pics off?

One of the most popular spoilers on the puma is the MS-Design spoiler that comes in brake light and non brake-light versions (I think).

I have one of the less common ESP spoilers; these too come in brake and non-brake light versions. The non brake-light version has a slightly different shape.

Stoffler do a Puma rear spoiler which looks good; I don't know if it has a brake light though.

The three makes I have mentioned are all exclusively for the puma and are part of Puma body kits, if you don't like these you could always look at universal spoilers.

I fitted my spoiler myself which isn't too difficult. You will have to get it sprayed, which I guess will be around £70.

Here are a few pics of the ESP rear spoiler with brake light fitted to my Kat.

Will have to upload a pic soon of my Kat's rear with the Stoffler valance and twin 3 1/2" exhaust. "Wow, nice arse".

Cheers Kevin,

Nice spoiler. How much was it to fit? Where is the cable for the brake light?

How is it fitted? Is it glued on?

Where did you get your seats from and how much were they?

Regards

Robert

Hi Robert,

I don't know how much it would cost to fit as I did it myself. I collected the spoiler direct from ESP as they are fairly local. They did offer a painting and fitting service (I just went for the paint service, I don't think they offer it any more). I spoke to Neil (I think) and he was very helpful in advising me what to do, he had a silver puma with full MS-Designs body kit.

[list] The spoiler centre post has the power leads; these go through a hole you drill in the boot lid beneath the post.
 The negative (black) wire is connected to the Earth of the wiper motor (you need to remove the boot lid plastic interior).
 The positive (red) wire is connected to one of the four boot lid pin contacts; I am not sure at the moment which one so a helpful chat to one of the guys at ESP might help.
 The connecting pin contact on the car is then wired to the positive of the right rear brake light. The spoiler brake light will only work when the boot lid is closed completing the circuit.[list]

Blue tack! laugh.gif

Nah, five bolts, two both sides and one up the centre. Sticky pads are also used to create a seal.

The seats were bought from Pure Carma in Southend.

I can't quote a price as it was done as a friend of a friend type thing, they are known for doing good deals, sometimes to good.

Speak to Chris and mention you are interested in the Sparco seats in Kevin's Puma.

Cheers for the reply.

I think whatever I do I will get Pumaspeed to fit it, since I live near Leeds.
