Hi everyone, could someone help me with a bit of info? Does the 1.7 Puma ecu allow you to flash via obd2? My wife has just bought one (older one with TAPE ecu) and she wants a bit more responsiveness. It already has a light weight flywheel/ clutch assembly and a few other light tuning mods. Thankyou in advance

No, the ECU can get Puma flashes but not accept a flash like a customiseable chip.
The older the Puma the more responsive it was as the very earliest ones had the least ignition retardation.
What plans of use have you, is it a track car?

Thanks for the quick reply. The mrs just likes nippy cars so just keeping it as a fast road car. She was using my car but i got fed up of car park dings and the constant worry of her rolling it or crashing lol so bought her a puma. So the puma ecu wont let me extract anything and flash it back on with kwp2000+ or anything similar? I use kwp on my evo

The 1.7 is a great nippy license keeping car, can't say I find it a dissapointment on the road or track, granted it is not an EVO.
Is it is tip top service condition and with a good set of rubber.

TAPE ECU will take the FRP map which raises the limiter but don't think it is worth it in isolation.
The Puma is about corners and is surprisingly good on track. Book a track day :-)
