My Latest Scratch - 56k Warning Advice please!

The good news is I am no longer upset when I damage the car as I am getting used to it.
Do you guys mind giving me your opinion on this level of scratch (pretty bad as you can see)? Is a Ford touch-up kit going to make a lasting fix or will it end up rusting? I don't mind paying for a front bumper re-spray as I scratched the other corner too - ballpark figure for this?

If you give it a good clean making sure you get anything other than paintwork off the scratch. See what it looks like after that. Bit of polish and t-cut and see where you get maybe?

The scratch goes all the way down to the plastic so T cut won't help
I will never live that one down, will I? Bugger!

The price will depend on how good a job you want. I would insist that they spray the bumper off the car to avoid over-spray as I'm picky so it would probably cost more than if they were to just mask it and leave it on the car. Probably anywhere from £150 - £250 I'd guess depending on who you take it too and how good they are.

I beat you for stupidity as it was a wall (the reason I drove into it was because I was trying so hard to avoid parking too close to the van next to me, which was right over the white line).
£100 isn't too bad I suppose, considering I have two scratches to cover up! I will see what happens with the Ford paint first as no point in not trying, then get it resprayed if looks pants.

Make sure you are very particular about paint codes, there are about 3 different Moondust Silvers and they are all distinctly different! In any case paint on the plastics always end up a little darker than the rest of the car.
