Hi, A friend has just got hold of a new racing inlet that he is going to fit to his standard puma engine in his fiesta, As below..

I know the racing airbox is different compared to the standard one.

He needs to try and replicate the racing one to help everything work better together.

As many pics as possible to show this difference would be great.

Is it actually a different box or is it just customised by tickford, ford or someone else?

Thanks a lot.

all that is different about the raqcing puma box is that the cold air feed is re-routed from the bottom of the box to the font lower grill. instead of into the wheel arch,

not much really but effective.

Yep, Just want to see where its piped from with what sort of pipe etc.

How does it go as low as the grille? Didnt think there was much room behind the bumper or space for it to pass through!

when you look at the box on the bottom of the standard item there is a stop end cap in the inlet at the bottom of the box and the cold feed comes out nearer the top just below the wing.

on the frp this top exit is left open and the pipe is connected to the bottom exit and literally just run behind the arch carpet cable tied down to the lower grill just above the front splitter.

ill try to find one of my pics but there really isnt much to it at all. remember the frp has a little bit more room behind the arch liners and the front bumper, but not alot.

here you go.
