I was driving home this afternoon, and I noticed a weird squeaking sound from the rear passenger side wheel. I pulled over and had a look and couldn't see anything untoward.
I drove a bit further, and it didn't stop - it seems worse when steering right. I've also noticed that if I push that corner of the car down, the suspension has a horrible squeaking sound coming from it.
I can't see anything abnormal, and there isn't any leaking grease or oil around there.
Any ideas, it's not an easy one to explain. My first thoughts were shocks or dampers. I don't really want to drive it too far until I have an idea of what it could be.

I had a better look today, and the damper is knackered - the squeaking is coming from the bush.
From behind, the left side of the car is sitting about 40mm lower than the right - I'm now driving my sisters Punto again until I get it sorted in the week.
