hello all, just wanted to post up my project thread, i have been collecting up FRP parts over the last year or so, the idea was to transform my puma in to a FRP, i have all original body parts with the addition of a Carbon FRP splitter and i even have the carpet arch liners, i have alrady collected up all the suspension components, including:

- New Drive shafts
- New CV boots and joints
- New Drop links
- New Steering arms (Focus ones)
- New knuckles, with custom adapters so i can run coilovers from a standard puma, plus hubs
- New ABS sensort
- Custom made wishbones with camber adjustability
- 20mm rear hub spacers

at the moment i have st170 front and rear disk conversions, the idea will be upgrade the front callipers to wilwood 6 pot items soon, the interior is mostly FRP but with a sparco bucket drivers seat and a sparco passengers seat (which is the same model as the frp) but trimmed slightly differently, as for the engine i have FRP inlet 591, plus the full piper exhaust manifold and sports cat, i dont have the gearbox or cams but thats ok because i have started building a spare engine with a top secret spec, needless to say it will be alot faster than a standard 1.7 once its done

will post up pics as the project develops, the car is currently in the body shop being preped and sprayed

thanks for reading

sam

sam's got all the frp running gear.

lower arms, driveshafts, knuckles etc so it will basically be an frp just not built by tickford.

alot of parts that cant be bought anymore as ford have no remaining stock of parts.

lower arms, driveshafts, knuckles, front and rear wings, both bumpers, splitter, grills, arch liners, fuel flap, alcon brakes and discs or hi spec equivalent, frp interior or the like

do you want me to continue ;)

sams always wanted to do it and has collected up the parts over a few years but in all honesty it would be cheaper to buy one of the cheaper 5-6k frps.

Well i already have the full interior fitted, i have the alcon calipers, discs and pads, front and rear suspension struts in a box, i have the exhaust manifold fitted. I bought the parts rather hastily then found out... ooo these wont fit... lol
The body panels i can pick up no problem, ive seen loads over the past month for sale. Its the other stuff i didnt know too much about, knuckles etc...

little update, the car is taking longer than expected to get finished in the body shop, i had to go see the car and speak to the guys working on it to explain how a couple of sections went together and how they should look, i am expecting to have it back in the next 7-10 days, woo! took some pics while i was there, you can really see how much wider it is over the standard width suspension

hello all, am really sorry for the lack of updates or progress pics, the body shop guy has had it for 8 weeks now and its still not done, to say im annoyed is an understatement!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been assured that it will be painted and finished by next week so all that is left is to fit all the suspension and drivetrain components and it will be ready for terorising the roads of cornwall! i have a few new upgrades whislt i have been waiting for the car including a HID kit and some new standrad parts including boot struts among other stuff, i also now have a FRP gearbox but i will be keeping that to one side for my turbo engine upgrades...........

thanks for reading

Right, managed to incorporate the charge cooler, silicone hoses, gearbox, cylinder-head and carbon splitter with current coffee making facility. Dont seem to be able to froth the milk that great so needs a bit more developement.

Better hurry up Sam as your other pile of parts might make its way towards Pauls van
