Does anyone ever have problems with wipers smudging the windscreen? I've tried the trick of using vinegar on the blades to disolve any grease. The blades go up without smudging. but when they go back down they leave smudgy streaks. This is such a newbie thing to ask I know, but hey I'm in the newbie zone.......Any little hints

have you used glass cleaner recently? I get this problem after I have used glass polish (AutoGlym), or it could be your wipers need replacing

If you have tried everything else, buy a new set of wipers - they should be replaced each winter so it is possible they have been on there for some time. Ford ones are around £14.99 for the pair and have a black sticker that turns yellow reminding you to replace them.
