My Ford Puma Literature Collection. 1997-2002 - Official Ford Publications. (Not 56k Friendly)

Since before the Puma's launch in 1997, I have been collecting a number of Ford publications (as I do with most new Ford models.). smile.gif I've been having a sort out over the weekend and decided to properly catalogue my Puma 'collection' as such. wink.gif As I was doing this, I thought it might be an idea to take pictures of these items and share them with everyone here. smile.gif

Perhaps other's might post pictures of anything interesting in their Puma 'collections' too! biggrin.gif

I'll list the items by year of publication. wink.gif

1996



1996 Ford Centenary Collection Catalogue. Featuring the Ford Lynx Concept on the cover.

1997





1997 Pre-Launch Puma Video + Teaser Mini-Brochure.






1997 Ford Puma Launch Press Pack.
Includes original press release, technical information, and various photographs / slides.






1997 London Motorshow Press Pack.
Includes various press releases on Ford events at the show, including the Puma.






1997 Puma Teaser Brochure with Outer Cover Advertising Track Day at Brands Hatch / Oulton Park for the first 1500 owners.
( ............. who then where given one of the numbered gear knobs. Of which I hace two! smile.gif )




In 1997, Puma's (and indeed Probes, Explorers, and Mavericks) could only be officially purchased from one of a number of Ford Sports Coupe and Off-Road Specialist Dealers. This leaflet gives a list and map of these dealers.

Awesome, never knew 1/2 them mondeo wheels were classed as options for the puma either, very interesting!

Ive got some good puma posters including cutaway 1.7 engine and cutaway red puma. Also got the S1600 poster from the rapif fit era detailing the rally season for that year.

Will get phots when im back in scotland next as they are packed away.

I can only add to that the PDC magazines and gear knob keyring plus the peak cap all produced by Ford not in the above.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Although not by Ford I've got a special Ford 1997 edition of Autocar that covers the launch of the Puma with stuff from Richard Parry-Jones, comparisions with other rivals of the period, first road test etc...

I don't have this one, but do have an early edition (early May / late April 1997?) With a pre-launch feature and cover shot. smile.gif I've a number at other magazines from the launch at 1997 too. I had a clear out a while ago much a of magazine collection is now with Al. smile.gif

Anyone else notice they seem to have lowered all of the Pumas in the press shots (looks like about 20mm front and 40mm rear or thereabouts) ja_stupid.gif

If you look closely at the picture of the Puma on the front cover of the last brochure in 2001, you'll see the front rubber skirt has half fallen off!! smile.gif
