Hi all,
Hopefully someone can help.
My partners puma has got a flat battery so tried to manually open the doors instead of using the remote to be able to pop the bonnet to charge the battery.
However the key won't open either door or the boot. So I'm guessing the battery has gone completely flat and deadlocked the car.

Does anyone know of a way to open the door (short of smashing a window) to be able to open the bonnet?

the key should unlock it regardless i think

maybe they just need a bit of wd40 as they never get used and tend to sieze up

That's what I thought as I managed to flatten the battery in the FRP once by leaving the interior light on and just opened the door manually. But it's not having any of it for some reason.

There's a way of getting the bonnet open without damaging anything which will enable you to put power on the battery.

I'll send you a message.

Ended up getting the AA out (couldn't get my hand in your way Ian) AA guy just ended up squirting WD40 in the lock and passenger side opened with the key. Drivers side wouldn't still opened. He then heckled the battery and it had only 1.4V of charge left but as soon as he charged it the drivers door opened. So all hunky doory now
