also consider the ford mp3 player as well - around £180 on ebay
you can fit around 10 albums on one cdr/cdrw and simply slots in like the 6000/6006e unit
i've had one fitted to my frp for 3 years now - no problems

In this day and age you're better off with a 3rd party unit that does MP3 and bluetooth for hands free phone IMO.

The CDs sit on little plastic trays that move up and down inside the unit, one reasonably serious jolt and they jump out of the trays and jam the unit unusable (I've had the unit apart and looked inside). I'm not the only person that has happen although it was admitedly quite a serious jolt

I had a Silver 6006e in the FRP for a while, really temperamental thing, just didn't want to read CD's. Swapped it back for the original.
I know have the 9006 Audiophile unit in the Focus, even though it looks the same it's a impressive bit of kit!
