I still have some Ladybird books. They were based in Loughborough 2 minutes walk from where I work.

I think the Topsy and Tim books I bought of Amazon recently were published by Ladybird, but the company is no longer based in Loughborough

I remember Ladybirds and Topsy and Tim. I read all the ladybirds at school and then we went on to Wide range readers.

My favourite books when I was small were the Gumdrop books. They were about a vintage car with it's own personality.

Seem to recall Janet and John were called Peter and Jane in my days. I remember Gumdrop too!
