Cool pics, but "the cloud appreciation" society? Do we really need a society to appreciate clouds for us?

well it would be terrible if clouds went completely unappreciated wouldn't it ? wink.gif lol

Some of those pictures really do look like they have been messed about with to me, but I'm probably wrong smile.gif

Was amazed by the Hamner Springs cloud, we parked up in front of the Alpine inn, on a clear day.

Nice piccys of weird cloud formations- they look like they're 3D, by having substance in tead of wisps of water vapour!? ohmy.gif

They don't look very real, if they are then maybe they're clouds that are affected by undulating winds on the leeward side of a set of hills/mountain?.

Not sure if clouds can be affected in this way though to be honest blush.gif

The Today program interviewed Michael Fish about them the other day, he believed they were either the base levels of super thunderstorms or due to the boundary between hot and cold air. He'd been out in the mid west researching violent weather systems and confirmed he'd seen similar.
