hi all

right here we go

took car for mot came back that the front brake line needed replacing so to get to the bit we needed we removed the battery

upon refitting the battery the car is now running like a bag of nails

on tickover its ok (i dont think it sounds right but my dad is convinced its fine,he said its not missing)

putting foot down on throttle it revs then when letting off, the rpms drop and 3/5 times stalls, same for when im driving ok but lacking power then as soon as you drop clutch to come to a junction or you let off the accelerator the rpms plummet quicker than a bungee jumper and stall or spluttesr the engine

tried taking battery off and refitting ............no joy

checked sparkplugsand they are fine

checked ht leads .......fine

coilpack ok

any ideas got retest on friday need to fix by then

After reconnecting the battery, did you do an ECU reset?
Let the engine idle for 5 minutes for the ECU to relearn it's parameters, then take it for a 10 mile drive.

gonna be doing that tomorrow saw someone else suggest that in ref to a high rev situation. only problem is the stall factor at every junction and lack of power it then supplies to steering and brakes
